GENERAL OVERVIEW

Over 23 years of hands on experience in construction and project management, contract administration, construction inspection, and defect/forensic examination. Jonathan’s responsibilities have included office and department project and construction manager; supervised employees and contractors; monthly and quarterly reports; established and implemented protocol; plan check; change order and claim negotiations; prepared claim rebuttals; claim’s negotiation’s; schedule review; managing the daily operations on construction projects; design management; expert witness; defect examinations and investigations; litigation support; mediation; arbitration; approval of time sheets and expense reports; value engineering; design development; design review;  building assessments; failure analysis; destructive and non-destructive testing; developed specifications; shop drawing review, F.E.M.A documentation and investigations; code enforcement; site analysis; building inspections; public works inspections; coordination with state and local building and fire authorities. Jonathan has worked on single projects worth $114 million with more than 51 subcontractors on a single project, was involved with a $650 Million reconstruction project; worked with clients with gross revenue’s exceeding $200 Million, has worked on approximately $350 Million worth of transportation projects, and has also worked in the residential industry.

Specific project experience includes new construction, reconstruction, seismic repair for both buildings & bridges, tenant improvement, industrial facilities, transportation projects, schools, hospitals, prisons, casinos, commercial buildings, water Treatment plants, missile silo’s, bridges and roadways, residential projects, and land development. Jonathan also posses a current State of California Contractor “B” License, and previously held secret security clearances for both the military and industrial sites.

Jonathan is also a Veteran of Foreign Wars where he served as a Legal Claims Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps.  He participated in Operation’s Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Jonathan’s Military awards include: National Defense Medal, Southwest Asia Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation and Overseas Deployment Ribbon.
